Why a free design beats a “free quote”.

Most home-improvement ads ask strangers for a quote. Here's what that costs, and what we're aiming for instead.

Our target

15–30%

of visitors we aim to have save a design in your studio. Designing your own yard is a much easier yes than asking for a quote.

Oakline founding-pilot target, not a result yet. Real numbers will replace it.

Different steps: a studio sign-up is earlier than a quote request, so we track both. Quote-request targets are on each playbook. The striped bar is a target, not a result.

  3. Optimise weekly

  • Free management for the pilot, about 4 weeks
  • A small test ad budget (about C$300), agreed up front
  • Results shared with you first, then published with your OK

About Oakline

I spent years on the contractor side of the counter. I know what a ready-to-buy homeowner looks like, and what a tire-kicker looks like.

Before starting Oakline, Mike Tibay ran a construction business in the Hamilton area, buying from the same yards and showrooms we now market. He started Oakline to bring performance marketing to an industry that's still mostly running on word of mouth and flyers.

Every campaign is run by Mike directly. No account-manager maze, no junior handoff.

Is Oakline part of StoneSwap?

No. Oakline is an independent marketing agency based in Hamilton, Ontario. We're StoneSwap's exclusive marketing partner, which means we're the agency they introduce their studio clients to, and we know their platform inside out.

Do I need a StoneSwap design studio to work with you?

Only for studio campaigns. Those send homeowners into your studio to design their project with your products, and that's what makes the leads so good.

Everything else (Google Search, local SEO, trade-pro campaigns, co-op programs, follow-up automation) works without one.

Where are your client results?

We're new, and we won't make them up. We're launching a founding pilot with a small group of dealers this fall, and we'll publish the real numbers here when it ends. The playbooks on this site are example plans, clearly labelled.

What we do have: a founder who ran a construction business on the other side of the counter, and a platform partner whose clients already pay for the studio.

Who pays for the ads, and who owns the accounts?

You do, on both. Ad spend goes straight from your card to Meta and Google, in ad accounts that belong to you. We're added as a partner and never mark up spend. If you leave, everything stays with you.

How fast will I see results?

First leads usually arrive in week one. The ads then learn for 4 to 6 weeks and get cheaper. That's why there's a 3-month minimum: a one-month test fails by design.

What do you need from my team?

Call or text every new lead within 24 hours, ideally within 5 minutes. Ads bring you people. Your team turns them into jobs. If nobody can follow up, we'll tell you honestly it's not the right time.

It's the slow season. Is now a bad time?

Homeowners plan in winter and build in spring. Leads that come in now are the jobs you book first when the ground thaws. Tile, flooring and kitchens run all year.

Let's fill your showroom.

Twenty minutes. We'll look at your market, your products and your current marketing, and tell you honestly what we'd do.
